Three things to work out before you apply
Whether you are eligible. Age is counted on 1 January 2026, not on the day you apply, so a birthday after that date does not count. The limit is 18–23 years, and the notice sets out 6 categories that can raise the upper limit. The age limit calculator checks your date of birth against that range and applies one relaxation at a time.
What your answer sheet is worth. SSC GD Computer Based Examination has 80 questions for 160 marks, with 0.25 off for a wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are set by category, and the cut-off for the next stage is decided only after the exam. The marks calculator works the score out section by section from the official answer key.
What the post pays. The posts sit in Level 3 of the 7th Pay Commission matrix, so entry basic pay starts at ₹21,700 before Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance. What reaches the account depends on the posting, so the level alone does not fix the in-hand figure.
