What these calculators cover
The Agniveer salary calculator follows the package announced for the Agnipath scheme: the monthly package for each of the four years, the 30% that goes to the Agniveer Corpus Fund, the matching government contribution, and the Seva Nidhi paid at the end of the four-year engagement. The in-hand figure is the monthly package less the corpus contribution, as the official announcement describes it.
What is not here yet, and why
Age limits for Agniveer entries are not on the site. The age window changes with each intake notice, and the Army's recruitment portal is a login application that does not publish a fetchable notification, so there is no official document to quote. Rather than print a figure from memory or from a coaching site, the tool waits until the next intake notice is published. The same rule applies everywhere on this site: if the official document cannot be checked, the figure does not go up.
Every figure here is taken from the Government's own announcement of the scheme, which is linked on the calculator page along with the date it was last checked.
Why an Agniveer's package is not an Agniveer's salary
The figure announced for the Agnipath scheme is a monthly package, and that is not what reaches the bank account. Thirty per cent of it goes into the Agniveer Corpus Fund every month, the government puts in a matching amount, and what is left is the in-hand pay. So the headline number and the money you can spend differ by nearly a third from the first month onwards.
At the end of the four-year engagement the accumulated corpus, together with the government's matching contribution and the interest earned on both, is paid out as the Seva Nidhi. It is a one-time payment on exit, not a pension: the scheme carries no pensionary benefit and no gratuity. TheAgniveer salary calculator shows the package, the deduction, the in-hand figure and the Seva Nidhi side by side for each of the four years, so the difference is visible rather than assumed.
