The heights of Nanda Devi, Kamet, Trishul and Bandarpunch, and of the Mana and Kalindi passes, were not found on any reachable state or district government page, so they are not in the table. No official page was found for Roopkund. Milam Glacier: the Pithoragarh district site says the Gori Ganga starts from it, while the Chamoli district site says the Pindar is fed by the Milam and Pindar glaciers. The distance from Gangotri to Gaumukh also differs between sources (17 and 19 km). Checked 22 September 2026.

What to remember for the exam

  • The Bhilangna rises from the Khatling glacier (Tehri) and the Pindar from the Pindari glacier (Bageshwar). The Chamoli district site gives the Satopanth and Bhagirath Kharak glaciers as the Alaknanda's source, but other official sources differ.
  • Naukuchiatal is 983 m long, 693 m wide and 40.3 m deep (Nainital district). Bhimtal and Sattal are both at 1,370 m.
  • Of the passes on the Pithoragarh page, the highest is Nuwe Dhura (5,650 m); Lipulekh (5,122 m) is in the Kali valley.

Every fact is taken from a government website and its source is listed. Where two official sources differ, both figures are shown.
