How it's calculated
The IBPS Clerk 2026 notice prints the exact range of dates of birth allowed as on 1 August 2026. The calculator checks your date of birth against that range. A category relaxation moves only the earliest allowed date of birth; the lower age limit does not change.
Estimate only. Official results, marks and eligibility are decided by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Verify on the official website.
Worked example: born 2 August 1997
For 20–28 years, dates of birth from 2 August 1998 to 1 August 2006 are allowed. Born 2 August 1997, you are 28 years 11 months on 1 August 2026: over the limit without relaxation.
With OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) relaxation (3 years) the earliest allowed date becomes 2 August 1995, so the same candidate is eligible.

Frequently asked questions
What is the age limit for IBPS Clerk 2026?
20–28 years as on 1 August 2026. For 20–28 years, you must be born not earlier than 2 August 1998 and not later than 1 August 2006.
How much age relaxation is allowed?
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years; SC / ST: 5 years; Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 10 years; Ex-servicemen / Disabled ex-servicemen: 3 years after deducting military service; Widows, divorced women and women legally separated (General / EWS): Up to 35 years of age; Widows, divorced women and women legally separated (OBC): Up to 38 years of age. Which date of birth counts?
The date of birth in your application, which must match your Matriculation / Secondary certificate. Later requests to change it are not accepted.
Does relaxation change the minimum age?
No. Relaxation only raises the upper age limit. Everyone must meet the minimum age on the cut-off date.
Can two age relaxations be added in IBPS Clerk?
Only one combination. The notification says the SC, ST and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) relaxation may be added to one of the remaining categories — PwBD, ex-servicemen, or widows and divorced women — and no more than that. This calculator applies one relaxation at a time, so add the second yourself where the notification allows it.
Why is the IBPS Clerk cut-off date different from SBI Clerk?
Each recruiter sets its own. IBPS CRP CSA-XVI counts age as on 1 August 2026; the SBI Junior Associate advertisement counts it as on 1 April 2026, so the same candidate can be eligible for one and not the other.
What is the age relaxation for ex-servicemen?
The actual period of service in the defence forces plus 3 years, or 8 years for a disabled ex-serviceman belonging to SC or ST, subject to a maximum age of 50 years.
