How it's calculated
The SBI Clerk 2026 notice prints the exact range of dates of birth allowed as on 1 April 2026. The calculator checks your date of birth against that range. A category relaxation moves only the earliest allowed date of birth; the lower age limit does not change.
Estimate only. Official results, marks and eligibility are decided by the State Bank of India. Verify on the official website.
Worked example: born 2 April 1997
For 20–28 years, dates of birth from 2 April 1998 to 1 April 2006 are allowed. Born 2 April 1997, you are 28 years 11 months on 1 April 2026: over the limit without relaxation.
With OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) relaxation (3 years) the earliest allowed date becomes 2 April 1995, so the same candidate is eligible.

The date of birth in your application, which must match your Matriculation / Secondary certificate. Later requests to change it are not accepted.
Does relaxation change the minimum age?
No. Relaxation only raises the upper age limit. Everyone must meet the minimum age on the cut-off date.
Can age relaxations be added together in SBI Clerk?
No. The advertisement says cumulative age relaxation is not available, either within its own list or in combination with any other item. PwBD candidates get 10, 13 or 15 years depending on their category, which is already the combined figure.
What relaxation do trained apprentices of SBI get?
One year for General and EWS, 4 years for OBC and 6 years for SC and ST; for PwBD apprentices it is 11, 14 and 16 years respectively. The apprenticeship must be with SBI.
Why is the SBI Clerk cut-off date different from IBPS Clerk?
Each recruiter sets its own. SBI counts age as on 1 April 2026 for this advertisement, while the IBPS CRP CSA-XVI notification counts it as on 1 August 2026, so the same candidate can be eligible for one and not the other.
