Three things to work out before you apply

What your answer sheet is worth. JEE Main Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) has 75 questions for 300 marks, with 1 off for a wrong answer. The marks calculator works the score out section by section from the official answer key.

Marks and percentile are two different things. The marks calculator gives the score the answer key produces. The percentile is NTA's ranking of that score within your own shift, to seven decimal places, so identical marks in two shifts can give different percentiles. If you sat both sessions, only the better of the two counts.

That is why the JEE Advanced cut-off is published as a percentile and not as a mark: for 2026 it was 93.4123549 for the unreserved category, with the top 2,50,000 candidates across categories going through. Use the percentile calculator to see how many candidates a given percentile puts ahead of you.
